The North Texas GLBT Chamber of Commerce just celebrated their 12th annual Celebration of Excellence Dinner, and boy what an experience.

It was a night to remember at Renaissance Dallas as the Chamber recognized community leaders with the esteemed Business Excellence Awards. Among them (and we couldn’t be more honored) was J. Waylon & Associates, receiving the 2016 Member Service award for their commitment to diversity and dedication to increasing membership with the Chamber.

Chamber member Zoomhum created a highlight reel of the evening’s festivities.

Here is the full list of award recipients:

  • Business of the Year Award: Fastsigns-Irving/Las Colinas
  • Corporate Ally of the Year Award: American Airlines
  • Extra Mile Community Service Award (sponsored by American Airlines): Rafael McDonnell with Resource Center
  • Member Service Award: J. Waylon & Associates
  • Emerging Leader Award (sponsored by Raytheon): Joshua Cogan, Outlast Youth
  • Supplier Diversity Champion Award (sponsored by Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau) Douglas Roark, Staff Perm
  • Chairman’s Award: Ron Allen, CPA.

The North Texas Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender Chamber of Commerce is the largest GLBT business organization in Texas. It is a not-for-profit, members driven organization consisting of more than 300 business entities and community organizations. Founded in 2004, the Chamber fosters an inclusive business community that promotes economic vitality, connects members, and advocates on their behalf. The Chamber works to achieve equality through business.
