JWA PRINCIPAL WAYLON TATE TO BE HONORED AT GLBT CHAMBER CELEBRATION OF EXCELLENCE DINNER

DALLAS, April 7, 2017 – Waylon Tate, CEO and Principal at J. Waylon & Associates (JWA) will be honored at the 12th Annual Celebration of Excellence Dinner for his commitment and dedication to LGBT communities in North Texas. The Dinner is a function of the North Texas GLBT Chamber of Commerce.
Tate, who will be honored with the distinguished Member Service Award, has continued to gain notoriety for his collaborative work in advocacy, education and public policy initiatives in LGBT communities. He has attended numerous White House receptions for LGBT-related events.
“Waylon has become one of the Chamber’s greatest advocates,” said GLBT Chamber President Tony Vedda. “He is a trusted advisor to the Chief Executive, and always seems to have the Chamber’s best interest top of mind.”
J. Waylon & Associates is a Chairman’s Circle Member of the North Texas GLBT Chamber, and for the past two years, Tate and his team have also handled the public relations and communications needs of the organization.
“I’m both humbled and honored,” said Tate. “I have the privilege of seeing first-hand the business networking and advocacy efforts of the Chamber, and the incredible community work that the organization provides to local businesses and neighborhoods.
JWA was instrumental in the development and implementation of the WE Zone campaign, a global awareness initiative of the North Texas GLBT Chamber that has received international recognition.
The Celebration of Excellence Dinner will take place at the Renaissance Dallas Hotel on April 28, 2017 starting at 6:00 pm. Tickets to the event are available at the website.
